Have fun together, trying something new, with a private clay pigeon shooting experience on the banks of the River Deveron.

With your own dedicated gamekeeper, equipment and refreshments provided, you’ll have the best chance at learning to smash those clays.

Clay pigeon shooting is available exclusively to our holiday guests.

The Details

  • Clay pigeon shooting is the popular and growing sport of shooting flying clay targets with a shotgun.

    It's safe, exciting, challenging and fun.

    The shooting ground has a series of traps which catapult clay targets into the air.

  • It is suitable for all levels of ability, from complete novices through to those who compete both nationally and internationally. Participants must be in good general health with good fitness.

    Children over 12 can take part, and we can offer stationary target shooting practice for younger children, based on their ability.

  • We can offer clay pigeon shooting on any day of the week except Sundays.

    Shooting takes place at 1pm and the activity will last a couple of hours depending on the group size and experience.

  • We include 40 clays per person.

    Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, mid way through the experience.

    Safety ear defenders are provided and must be worn at all times during the activity.

    Guns are provided. We do not have gun lockers for guest use.

  • The shooting takes place in a field and you will be exposed to the elements for the duration of the activity.

    You must bring strong, waterproof boots and a waterproof jacket.

    We also recommend that you wear a thick jumper or padded jacket if you are a beginner. This will give you some protection from the gun recoil whilst you learn how to properly position the gun.

  • The price of the experience is £90 per person, for a minimum of two people.

    At the time of booking your experience, we will send you a link to take payment in full.

  • You can add clay pigeon shooting on to your holiday at the time of booking, or send us an email to add it on later.

    Once you have expressed interest, our team will be in touch to confirm availability during your stay.

    We do need at least one week’s notice to arrange experiences.
